Before we begin
I want you to read this before you touch a single candle.
I've spent eleven years reading cards for women like you. And if there's one question I've been asked almost as often as the ones about love, it's this one, almost always written late at night, almost always in nearly the same words:
Valeria, I work hard, I do things right... why does it never come to me?
In my early years, I'd look at the cards and see the same thing over and over: it wasn't that abundance wasn't on its way. It was that, at the exact moment an offer arrived, a promotion, a client, an opportunity, something inside that woman pushed it away. Sometimes without even realizing it.
That obsessed me for years. Because it isn't a luck problem. It's a permission problem. And permission isn't asked for outside: it's worked from within.
This book is the result of that work. It's not a list of "things that attract money." It's something more uncomfortable and far more effective: a method to stop you from closing the door on what's already knocking.
Read it whole before doing it. You're going to find things you didn't expect, some are going to stir something up, because they speak of your mother, your grandmother, the first time someone made you feel bad for wanting more. It's done on purpose. You can't fix what you don't look at directly.
And one more thing before you turn the page: you're going to read other women's stories in this book. They're real, even if the names aren't. I tell them to you because money is one of the topics women talk about least, and for that very reason it's one that makes you feel most alone when it isn't flowing. You are not alone in this. Not even close.
With love,
Valeria
CHAPTER I
What prosperity is (and what it isn't)
Let's start by clearing out the idea that does the most damage, because if we don't, everything else in this book is going to sound like a fairy tale.
Prosperity isn't winning the lottery. It's not a stroke of luck falling from the sky while you do nothing. If anyone sells you that, they're selling you smoke, and worse, they're teaching you to sit and wait, which is exactly the opposite of what you need.
Prosperity is this: that the doors you're already knocking on, the promotion you deserve, the client you're almost closing, the business you've spent months putting off, the raise you haven't asked for in years, finally open, and that when they open, you walk through. Both things. Because I've seen women who had a door open and didn't even notice, or noticed and didn't walk in, because part of them didn't believe they had any right to be there.
A REAL STORY
Marina had spent two years wanting to start her own baking business. She had the training, she even had the name picked out. When a shop finally offered to sell her cakes every week, she said no. She wrote to me that same night: I don't know why I said no, Valeria, it was exactly what I wanted. It wasn't bad luck. It was fear dressed up as I'm not ready yet.
And now the most important part of the whole book, so read it twice:
This spell isn't going to make you rich overnight.
It doesn't work that way, and be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise. What this work does is different and much more lasting: it removes what makes you reject, postpone, or sabotage the abundance that's already on its way. Money, opportunities, recognition, all of that is already moving toward you in ways you don't even see. This ritual doesn't call it from nothing. It opens the door so that, when it arrives, you let it in.
We work with what's already coming. What comes, stays. That's prosperity. And I want you to keep this idea for chapter IV: this work doesn't create money out of nothing. It removes the brake you yourself, without knowing it, have been holding down.
CHAPTER II
Why we reject money without knowing it
No one consciously decides to reject abundance. No one wakes up one morning thinking today I'm going to sabotage my promotion. And yet, in these eleven years, I've seen the same pattern over and over, with different faces. Read these calmly: by the end you'll know which one is yours, and that changes how you read the rest of the book.
1. Inherited guilt You grew up watching your mother, your grandmother, count every cent with anguish. Money doesn't grow on trees. We're not that kind of people. Those sentences get stamped in deeper than you think, and when money finally starts coming, something inside you feels disloyal for having what they never had.
2. The fear of no longer being good A lot of women were taught that wanting more is greedy, that asking for a raise is conceited, that charging what you're worth is being full of yourself. So they settle, stay quiet, lower the price before anyone even asks. Kindness got confused with resignation, and that confusion costs dearly.
3. Fear of judgment Women with money are... Finish the sentence yourself, you've surely heard the whole thing before, and it didn't end well. Cold. Calculating. Alone. No one wants to be that, so part of you holds back your own success to avoid becoming the stereotype you were taught to fear.
4. Self-sabotage from low self-worth If you don't believe you're worth it, your body makes sure the world doesn't believe it either: you're late to the important interview, you don't send the quote, you put off the call. It's not clumsiness. It's part of you protecting yourself from a rejection it fears more than poverty itself.
5. Fear of losing bonds And this is the quietest of them all. Earning more than your partner, your sister, your best friend, sometimes feels frightening. Not because of the money itself, but because of what you think it might change between you. So, without realizing it, you keep yourself small so no one feels uncomfortable. Except you.
Now take three seconds and think which one is yours. I won't lie to you: the work functions much better when you know which brake you're releasing. And if you're not sure, don't worry, the next chapter is going to help you narrow it down.
CHAPTER III
The three kinds of financial block
No one else is going to explain this to you, and I want you to learn it well, because it completely changes how you read your own relationship with money from today on.
Not every block weighs the same. I've spent years sorting them into three types, and each one calls for a different work.
The inherited block
The one that comes from family, from generations of scarcity or silence around money. It wasn't originally yours. You inherited it the way you inherit your mother's eyes. You recognize it because you feel guilt or discomfort around money even when everything is going well. This is the one we work on in this book, and the one that moves fastest once it's named.
The block from your own experience
A bankruptcy. A debt that took years to pay off. A layoff that left you with nothing for months. The body learns from what it lives, and after a strong financial wound, many women develop a fearful relationship with money, either gripping it so tightly it can't flow, or avoiding it entirely so as not to feel that fear again. This one is also worked with this ritual, though it may need more than one round.
Your own glass ceiling
The hardest to see from inside. It's the invisible limit you set for yourself without knowing you set it: this is as far as I can go, this is already too much for me, if I earn more than him, something breaks. It doesn't come from outside. You built it, almost always to feel safe at some point in your life, and now it's too small for you.
How to tell them apart in practice: the inherited one usually comes with a childhood phrase that repeats in your head when you talk about money. The one from experience usually comes with a physical fear, almost bodily, around spending or taking risks. The glass ceiling usually shows up right when things start going well, and suddenly you pull back. All three are worked with the same ritual. Only what you need to look at directly while you do it changes.
CHAPTER IV
The mechanism: Jupiter and your own worth
This is the chapter that's going to change how you see any money ritual you've ever done before. Read it slowly.
A tradition older than you think
For centuries, practical magic has worked with planetary correspondences: each planet governs a specific kind of energy. Money, expansion, luck, opportunities that open out of nowhere, all of that belongs to one very specific planet: Jupiter.
Jupiter rules Thursday, rules green and gold, rules everything that grows, expands, and multiplies. He's the planet of abundance, of doors opening on their own, of the luck that seems to fall into place at just the right time. And most of the money rituals floating around only work with him: green candles, coins, cinnamon, a whole Thursday. And they work for what they work for: opening the path.
But here's what almost no one tells you: opening the path is useless if you don't believe you can walk it.
I've seen women with Jupiter worked to perfection. Opportunities raining down, offers, crystal-clear signs, who were still without a single extra euro in their pocket six months later.
Because Jupiter opens the door. He doesn't force you to walk through it.
What actually crosses the door
What decides whether you cross that door isn't a planet of luck. It's something much more personal: how much you believe you're worth. And here's where many women are surprised, because that territory belongs to Venus.
I know what you're thinking: Venus is love, right? Yes, and also much more than that. In the tradition, Venus doesn't only rule romantic love: she rules worth. What you consider valuable. What you believe is worth having. And that includes, even if it doesn't seem so at first glance, how much you believe you yourself are worth, in euros, in recognition, in respect.
Your inner Venus is the one who decides, in the exact second someone offers you a price, whether you say that sounds right or whether you stay quiet and accept less. She's the one who decides whether you ask for the raise or settle for another year. When your inner Venus is wounded, by inherited guilt, by fear of judgment, by everything we saw in chapter II, it doesn't matter how hard Jupiter works outside: the door opens, and you don't walk in.
The Bridge of Prosperity
What you're going to do here is join the two. I call it the Bridge, and if you keep just one idea from the whole book, let it be this:
Jupiter opens the path. Venus decides whether you cross it. An opportunity with no sense of worth stays outside, knocking on a door no one opens from within. A sense of worth with no opportunity has nowhere to go. This work opens both at once, and joins them so that you finally cross.
A REAL STORY
Dolores had spent thirty-one years at the same bank, always the first to arrive, never promoted. When we did this work, the first thing that came up wasn't anger at the company, it was a sentence from her father, from when she was twelve: people like us don't give orders, we obey. A month after naming that sentence out loud, she was offered the position she'd spent a decade silently waiting for.
Everything that comes now, the day, the hour, the candle, the words, is designed for one single thing: opening the whole Bridge, not just half of it.
CHAPTER V
When to do it
This isn't a detail. It's half the work.
The day: Thursday
Thursday is Jupiter's day. It's the day when expansion moves most strongly, when doors that had been closed for a while start to give. If you do this work on a Tuesday, Mars's day, of struggle and conflict, you'll be fighting for something that's meant to open on its own, not by force. Thursday.
The moon: waxing
From new moon to full. The waxing moon is the phase of what grows, multiplies, and expands, exactly the energy you're looking for. During a waning moon you'd be asking for something to open while the moon tells you it's time to close. Check the phase on your phone, it takes five seconds.
The ideal night: the first Thursday of the waxing moon after the new moon. That's when expansion has just begun and has the whole cycle ahead to grow.
The hour: between 8:00 and 10:00 PM
It's the hour when the work day has fully wound down and your mind shifts out of "doing" mode into "receiving" mode. Doing this ritual at seven in the morning, rushing before work, is asking something that needs calm to hurry up.
If you can't wait for Thursday
A work done at its right moment is worth three done at the wrong one. If it's truly urgent, a decision is being made this week, an offer expires, you can do it any night during a waxing moon between 9:00 and 10:00 PM, which is Jupiter's hour on almost any day. It's the only exception I give you.
CHAPTER VI
What you need
You already have all of this at home, or it costs less than a coffee. Nothing expensive is needed, and in fact, overspending on materials for an abundance ritual is the first contradiction you can spare yourself.
1. A green candle Jupiter's color: expansion, growth, abundance. If you can't find green, gold. Never black for this work, we haven't come to protect ourselves from anything, we've come to open a door.
2. A small pink or gold candle This is Venus, in her facet of self-worth. It represents how much you believe you deserve. Not the star of the night, but without her no one crosses the bridge.
3. Any coin The value doesn't matter, it isn't symbolic because of the amount, it's symbolic for what it represents: money in its simplest form. If you can, use a coin you already have, not one bought for the occasion.
4. White paper and a gold, green, or black pen Unlined if possible. You're going to write something important on it.
5. Cinnamon, stick or ground The herb of abundance par excellence, present in almost every tradition. If you don't have it, dried basil or chocolate coins work, what matters is the intention of "sweet abundance," not the exact ingredient.
6. A small glass of water It represents what you're willing to receive. As in any opening work, you need something that receives, not just something that asks.
7. A small object representing your sense of worth It can be jewelry, something of your grandmother's, anything that makes you feel valuable just by touching it. You'll understand why in chapter X.
If you're missing something small, do it anyway. The work doesn't fail for lack of stick cinnamon. It fails from being rushed, or from doing it while feeling guilty for asking for more.
CHAPTER VII
Preparing the space
Fifteen minutes. Don't skip them: you're preparing the ground for something you've spent years blocking, and that doesn't happen rushed.
STEP 1 — Tidy your home's money space You don't need a deep clean, but if your wallet is a mess, receipts thrown everywhere, a drawer of unopened bills, give it five minutes before you start. Outer disorder around money reflects and reinforces inner disorder around it.
STEP 2 — Turn off your phone No checking your bank balance, no work email, no notifications. Tonight you're not here to check how much you have. You're here to change how much you believe you deserve.
STEP 3 — Wash your hands in cold water Let them air dry. With damp hands, press your palms together for a moment and breathe three times, slowly. You're closing the day and everything it brought, the comparisons, the bills, the end-of-month anxiety.
STEP 4 — Sit down. Low light or none. Place in front of you, left to right: the green candle, the coin and the object of your worth in the center, the pink or gold candle. Paper and pen within reach. The glass of water to your right.
CHAPTER VIII
The ritual, step by step
Read it all once before starting. Once you begin, don't go back.
STEP 1 — Light Jupiter Light the green candle first. While lighting it, say out loud: "I open the path." You've just named expansion.
STEP 2 — Write what you're asking for, in specific terms On the paper, write clearly what you need to move: a raise, a new client, a business getting off the ground, stability. Be specific. Don't write "more money": write "the promotion to coordinator," "three new clients this month," "out of this debt by December." Vague doesn't cross the bridge. Specific does.
STEP 3 — Underneath, write the sentence that holds you back This is the hardest part and the one that matters most. Write, in a single sentence, what you truly believe deep down about deserving what you just asked for. Not what you should think: what you actually think. "I'm not ready." "People like me don't get there." "If I earn that, something's going to change and it scares me." Whatever it is, write it exactly as it sounds in your head.
STEP 4 — Light Venus Now light the pink or gold candle, with the paper in your left hand. You've just named your own worth, right beside the fear that covers it.
STEP 5 — Burn, carefully, only the second sentence If you can, fold the paper so only that sentence is exposed and burn it over a plate, leaving the first one untouched. As it burns, say: "This isn't me. This is what I learned, not what I deserve." You're not burning the wish. You're burning the lie you'd been wearing.
STEP 6 — Pass the coin over both flames Three times, slowly, without burning yourself. While you do it, hold the object of your worth in your other hand. You're joining the opportunity (the coin, Jupiter) with your own worth (the object, Venus). That's crossing the bridge.
STEP 7 — Say the words With the coin in one hand and the object in the other, read the invocation on the next page out loud. Out loud, even if your voice shakes, especially if it shakes.
STEP 8 — Close Leave the coin and the object between the two candles until they burn down or you put them out. Drink half the water. Keep the coin: don't spend it, don't mix it with the rest of your change. It's going to have a different job, and I explain that in chapter X.
CHAPTER IX
The exact words
Read them out loud, slowly, in Step 7.
I name what I deserve, and I also name what I learned not to deserve.
I haven't come to ask for what isn't mine. I've come to stop rejecting what already is.
Let the door I've been knocking on open. Let it open, and let me cross it without asking permission.
There's no guilt in growing. There's no betrayal in having more than those before me had.
Let abundance find me, and let me, at last, let it stay.
It is said.
Why these words and no others
Notice the structure. First you name the wish and the fear together. Because pretending fear doesn't exist is the surest way to let it keep ruling from the shadows. Then you let go of the guilt, there's no betrayal in having more, because that inherited guilt is, in my experience, the strongest brake of all, stronger than any practical problem. And at the end you surrender permission, not the outcome: you're not asking the universe for an exact number, you're asking for permission to stop rejecting what's coming closer. That distinction changes everything.
CHAPTER X
The seal: the coin and the paper
This part decides whether the work lasts one morning or lasts weeks.
The coin
Keep it somewhere you see it (or touch it) often, but not your everyday wallet: the bottom of a nice bag, a nightstand drawer, an inner pocket. Every time you find it without looking for it, don't think about money: think "I have permission." Two words. That repeated gesture is what keeps the work alive for weeks, not just the night of the ritual.
The paper
The first sentence (what you asked for) keep it folded somewhere closed, the same way you'd keep any seed: in the dark, not looked at every day. The second sentence no longer exists: you burned it. That's also part of the seal, what's named and released stopped carrying the same weight.
The object of your worth
Carry it with you, or leave it somewhere you see it every morning. It's the physical reminder that this was never just about money. It was about you.
CHAPTER XI
The following three days
Money doesn't move like love: it doesn't arrive at dawn as a message. It moves through decisions you make over the following days, almost always without realizing it's already working.
Over the following three days, you're going to do something very simple each night, before sleep:
STEP 1 — Day one Touch the coin or the object. Say quietly: "I have permission." And note, even just mentally, one thing from the day where you didn't shrink, a price you didn't lower, an opinion you did give.
STEP 2 — Day two Touch the coin. Say: "I have permission." And notice if today you said yes to something you'd normally have rejected as "not for you."
STEP 3 — Day three Touch the coin. Say: "I have permission, and I'm going to use it." From here on, let it go.
Don't force anything during these three days. It's not the time to overspend to "prove abundance," nor to ask for the raise without having prepared for it. It's the time to stop saying no to the small things in front of you, the well-given tip, the compliment you accept without brushing it off, the favor you charge for instead of giving away.
CHAPTER XII
The signs that it's working
Money gives warning before it arrives. These are the signs I see most, in roughly this order:
1. You find small amounts of money without looking A coin on the ground, a bill in an old coat. It sounds cliché, but in Jupiter's tradition it's literally the energy announcing itself in its smallest form.
2. You're offered something you'd normally reject as "not for you" A project, a client, an interview. Don't reject it on reflex. It's exactly the door chapter IV talks about.
3. You stop comparing yourself One day you realize you've gone two days without checking how much your friend, your sister, your ex earns. That constant comparison was also part of the brake, and loosening it is a real sign.
4. You find yourself asking for something you didn't used to ask for A discount, a raise, charging for something you used to give away. Even if it's small, it's proof that Venus, your own sense of worth, is moving.
5. Money conversations appear around you Someone tells you about an opportunity, a course, an investment. Jupiter works a lot through third parties, the information reaches you through someone else's mouth, almost by chance.
A REAL STORY
Cris did this work one ordinary Thursday, without much hope. On day 9 she wrote to me: nothing's happened, I think this isn't for me. On day 15, a former coworker wrote to her out of nowhere offering a freelance project that tripled what she was earning at the time. I hadn't heard from her in months, Valeria. How did you know it would be that random?
The timeline: in my experience, this moves between day 5 and day 30, money takes a bit longer than love, because it almost always needs you to act too, not just wait. If by day 30 nothing visible has happened, it doesn't mean the work failed: it means the block runs deeper than it seemed, and that's exactly where a reading comes in.
CHAPTER XIII
What blocks the ritual
Five things. Any one of them can take down the whole work.
1. Complaining about money after asking for it If that same week you keep saying "I never have enough," "what I earn doesn't cover it," you're sending the universe the opposite message of what you just asked for in the ritual. A repeated complaint weighs more than any candle.
2. Spending it all the moment it arrives If money shows up and you spend it all within twenty-four hours "to celebrate," you're confirming the fear that money doesn't stay with you. Let it sit a while before you move it.
3. Comparing yourself to those who already have it Constantly watching what others have already achieved, instead of watching your own process, keeps alive the feeling of "it never comes to me," which is exactly what you're trying to release.
4. Not taking action This ritual opens the door. It doesn't cross it for you. If you ask for a promotion and then never mention it at work, or ask for new clients and don't post a single thing, the bridge is left with no one to cross it.
5. Doing it from desperation If what you feel tonight is panic about next month's bills, wait. What's asked for from panic is received with fear, and fear doesn't let anything stay. Wait for the following Thursday, with a calmer head.
CHAPTER XIV
Frequently asked questions
Can I do this ritual if I have debts right now? Yes, and it's actually one of the cases where I see it work the most. Just adjust step 2: instead of asking for an abstract amount, ask for clarity and a concrete path out of that debt.
Does it work for a business, or only for a salary? It works for both. If it's for a business, hold in your hand, along with the coin, something that represents your business, a card, a product, during step 6.
Can I repeat it if I don't see results? In two different moons, yes. In the same one, no. Repeating too soon tells the universe you don't trust what you already asked for.
What if what's blocking me isn't mine, but my whole family's? You can say so, exactly like that, in step 3: "this didn't start with me." Naming the block as inherited, not your own, is often exactly what moves it fastest.
Does it work for asking for a full career change, not just money? Yes. This work isn't only about an amount, it's about worth. A career change, a promotion, a different professional category, all belong to the same territory.
Can I do it if I've already done another ritual from Valeria's collection? Yes, and they combine especially well if one is for love and this one for money, since they're almost always different blocks. I'll tell you a bit more about that at the end of the book.
CHAPTER XV
When the opportunity arrives
I want to prepare you for this, because it's where I've seen the most women let the whole work slip away out of pure surprise.
It's going to arrive in an ordinary moment. An email on a random Tuesday. A call while you're out shopping. And you're going to feel two things at once: excitement, and an odd urge to say no, or to downplay it, "surely it's not that big a deal," "surely there's someone better suited for this."
Don't. Three rules for that moment:
1. Don't respond by devaluing yourself Nothing like "well, I don't know if I'm up to it but..." Respond from what you've just worked on: with permission, not apology.
2. Don't accept the first number without thinking If it's a financial offer, take at least a few hours before accepting the first number given to you. Self-worth also shows up there.
3. Tell someone who truly celebrates for you Not someone who'll downplay it, nor someone who'll compare it to their own. The first echo a good piece of news gets also matters.
Valeria... they've actually offered it to me. And I don't know if I'm ready. That sentence reaches me almost as often as the one about the confession. And the answer is always the same: if you weren't ready, the door wouldn't have opened.
CHAPTER XVI
What this book cannot give you
I'm going to be honest with you one last time, because that's how I've written every page of this book.
This work removes a brake. Any woman who reads it calmly and does it well can do that, without needing me for anything else. But there's something a book written for thousands of women can never give you: it knows nothing about your specific case.
It doesn't know whether your block is inherited, your own, or a glass ceiling you built years ago to feel safe. It doesn't know which specific door is opening right now in your life, nor which one you've been missing for months because it's disguised as "not the right time."
And I want to tell you something else: this isn't the only block that exists. This book works on money. But I know women whose real knot wasn't financial at all, it was that they didn't know how to let go of a relationship that no longer gave them anything, and for that there's another work, with another planet, with other words. Each knot calls for its own path.
If you finish this book and feel that yours goes beyond money, that there's something bigger you need to understand, or let go of, or let in, don't stay with the doubt. That's exactly what the rest of the collection exists for, and what a reading made for you exists for.
Thank you for letting me into your Thursday night.
ONE LAST WORD FROM VALERIA
What comes next
If you've made it this far, you already know how to stop closing the door on what's coming closer.
What this book can't tell you is which specific door is yours right now. Because that isn't general: it's yours. I can teach you to release the brake, I can't know from here exactly what opportunity is waiting for you to let it in without looking at your cards.
That's why, when a woman writes to me after doing this work, I always tell her the same thing: now is when it's truly time to see the map. Which door is opening, when, and which part of you is still holding it shut without knowing it.
I see that in a personalized reading. Yours, about your situation. It reaches your inbox in under twenty-four hours.
I didn't need more luck. I needed to stop saying no.
I hope that door opens soon. And I hope, when it does, you're already ready to walk all the way through it.
With all my love,
Valeria
